During the pilgrimage, we’ll learn about Ghana’s rich culture and history, enjoy the breathtaking scenery, walk in the footsteps of our ancestors, and interact with Ghanaian villagers.

On this trip, we’ll be traveling to Accra, Kumasi, and Elmina to experience as much of Ghana as possible.

• Tour of the historic Aburi Botanical Garden, which opened in 1890 and played an essential role in encouraging cocoa production in South Ghana

• Visit to the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and Mausoleum, the final resting place of Ghana’s first president, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah

• Chance to stock up on authentic kente and adinkra cloths at the traditional textile market housed in the Centre for National Culture Accra

• Journey to the Manhyia Palace, the seat of the ancient Ashanti Empire

• Opportunity to walk in our enslaved ancestors’ footsteps at the Elmina Castle and Cape Coast Castle

As we journey across Ghana while reconnecting with our roots, we’ll be staying at some of the country’s most extravagant hotels. We will stay at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City or similar in Accra, the Golden Tulip Hotel or similar in Kumasi, and the Coconut Grove Hotel in Elmina.
